Why I don’t Really Edit My Blog Post

Keep making shit.

Disclaimer: This is NOT a post on how to get curated.

Recently, I started writing more consistently on Medium. Meaning, I try to put out at least one blog post a day.

Writing one post a day does not give me time to edit in depth. I edit on the spot. So I just check for spelling errors, lack of clarity, and flow for my posts.

I’ve seen a lot of professional writers give advice and tips on the importance of the editing process. For the most part I agree with what they are saying.

You should put thought into your editing. But for me this process never really worked.

I’m definitely not bashing any of the professional writers out there, if you want to learn how to write better I would go to one of them. I’m not a professional but ever since I tried this new writing process, my success as a writer has gone through the roof.

There are reasons why I don’t put much thought into editing and here’s why.

It takes up too much valuable time to experiment.

I understand when writers say they would rather have one amazing and well-polished post than ten mediocre unedited posts.
