So…ChatGPT happened.

I’ve been super late on that one.

Everyone has simmered on it now. But every writer I knew went BONKERS when it came out.

“Is this the end of writing as we know it?”

“Will A.I. take our jobs?!”

“Is quality writing dead?!”

I thought about those questions long and hard.

Almost 4 months later, I realized that A.I. won’t kill quality writing.

But WE can.

Let me explain.

I began writing on Medium consistently in 2020.

In 2021, everything changed.

Several of my articles went viral. I made thousands of dollars. Popular writers on this platform took notice of my work.

I felt like I finally made it to the promised land.

A year and a half later, everything crashed down.

Tons of Medium writers jumped ship after the algorithm shunned them. The views and money weren’t as sweet. I felt stagnant.
