Member-only story
My gruesome and memorable mosh pit story and why I’ll never go in one again.
Mosh pits will destroy your innocence.
A few weeks ago, I got dragged into a Tyler The Creator concert with my sister. I’m not a fan of his music and I begged her to go alone.
Not only did she drag me along, but I wound up paying for the tickets and merchandise. The only reason I went is because one of my favorite artists, Jaden Smith, opened.
Unlike two Beyonce concerts I’ve been to, this is definitely the most down and dirty concert I’ve attended. Not only was it overloaded with “different” teenagers due to the smaller venue, but the mosh pit killed me.
When I say I’ll never mosh again, I mean it after this.

After me and my sister ventured to the pit, we fought through a congregated crowd to get in the middle.
Dead in the eye of the crowd, the first opener began the thunderous beat drop.
Dancing, drinking, and vaping in the pit became a custom.
After the booms of the bass emphasizing each song passed, me and my sister had a nice sweat bath to keep us putrid.
