It’s Important to Feel the Burn, Not Just in the Gym, But in Life
My weird revelation in the gym.
Today I went to the gym to try and lose a little bit of weight from my breakfast omelette. I go to the gym regularly during the week but for some reason I wasn’t losing any weight.
Every time I squeezed out an hour sweating on the stair master, I’d go straight to weigh myself and see that I’m the exact same weight I was two weeks ago. That didn’t change until I went to the gym on Saturday.
I tried a new machine as opposed to my regular routine of stair master then weights. I did the elliptical machine and a work out bike for a change.
The moment while I was on the elliptical, my sense of working out changed, not just in the gym, but in life.
I was too comfortable
On the elliptical, I did more than go through the motions. I squatted down as far as I can to the ground while my feet where moving forwards and backwards at the same time.
I did this for a couple minutes at a time and repeated.
I felt something I never felt before. I felt vigorous burn. My thighs felt like fiery hot lava. I sweated immensely.
I wasn’t losing weight on the stair master or the weights because I repeated the same…
