Tips on how I got a free study abroad trip my freshman year of college
Look at that picture above…
Magnificent isn’t it?
Oh wait, tuition plus room and board plus study abroad? That’s a big no no for me.
Studying, research, or internships abroad is one of the best things you can do as a college student but I’m pretty sure you know why you probably can’t do much.
I know from other friends and family that have hundreds of thousands of student loans, that college is no joke and you need to be really careful on what you spend your money on. I can definitely understand why the first thing you think about when hearing about trips abroad is “where’s that money at?”
Well, hopefully it won’t come from you. One thing I always kept in mind when it came to doing anything abroad is that colleges are billion dollar institutions.
With all that money that’s made by tuition and other miscellaneous funds, it’s impossible for a college to charge around 2,000–5,000 dollars for a study abroad trip and not have the funds to pay for it.
Once I realized this and figured out the steps to actually implement this, I was surprised that it actually worked. And if it worked for me, it definitely can be applicable to you.
