Great question Shannon. My whole approach to this is simple. Most biracial people are of color, meaning you know they’re definitely not white. If someone is white passing, meaning they look white, then they’ll be treated as white. That means they won’t be treated the same as a black person, let’s say when they get pulled over by the cops. I base it more on how people look. If you have black lineage, that’s great, but having black lineage is not the same as looking and living as a black person. That’s all I’m saying.
