At what point should you realize you must grow up?

Hint: Figure out how long you can be goofy.

Growing up scares the shit out of people, especially me.

For some it can be empowering. More freedom, more adventures on your own, and…wait for it…responsibility.

That’s a lot of weight on your shoulders now.

But one thing I wish I knew the answer to when I was younger is…when? What finally clicks in your mind and tells you “Okay it’s time for you to get your shit together”. Or does that even exist?

Here’s when you should realize when its time to grow up.

I’m still the baby — even at 19.

This can be a good thing and a bad thing.

I’m the youngest of two girls in my household and with that came a lot of privilege. I was always treated like the baby and I got a lot of free passes for things I did wrong while my older sister had the responsibility of watching me.

To this day my sister jokingly asks my mom, “Why did you like her so much growing up”?

Most of us have been through that time in our lives where it seemed like our parents had favorites (even though they say they love everyone).
