An experience I’ll never forget.

Two years ago, I had a constant yet calm worry.

Student loans. The scum of the Earth.

I was just about to transition into college from high school. One day I was working at your average movie theater standing and taking tickets. The most boring job on the planet.

Anyways, I saw a man walk up to me and I ripped his ticket and told him where his auditorium was located. After I gave him this info, he stared at me deeply.

I didn’t know what was happening so I just let him stare for a couple of seconds before I asked if he was okay.

Then he said something to me that I’ll never forget.

I see grants in your future, grants and more grants.

Yep. That’s exactly what he said to me before he walked pass me.

I never forgot those words. Even though I didn’t know what he meant, I just let nature take it’s course.

Fast forward a few months and I’m going to college free of student debt.

But what else does it mean?

These days, aside from the money aspect, I still don’t really know what this guy was talking…
